Popups effect SEO?

It shouldn't have a negative impression on the bots.
Unlike humans who can get irritated by the popus in real time,
the bots will only see a small piece of JavaScript code of popup. and nothing else.

Popups do have a negative impact on Search engine rankings as large pop-ups may slow the loading time of page and Page speed is a major factor in Google.
Pop ups are annoying and can even cause the page to reload leading to a bad user experience.
