In YMCA one can find people from all walks of life. It is made up of people of all ages working side by side to strengthen communities. Everybody works together to ensure that all get the opportunity to live life to its fullest regardless of gender, income, faith, sexual orientation or cultural background. They share the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The success of the YMCA to a large extent is a result of passionate, experienced and diverse array of staff, volunteers and members who value what everyone brings to the table. They have nurtured the potential of children, improving the nation’s health and well being and supporting the neighbors. The diversity of the people strengthens their work.

The diverse and inclusive nature of the organization forms the foundation to developing and engaging everyone across the entire YMCA spectrum. The efforts of the YMCA to make positive, lasting personal and social change is contributed by the volunteers, members, program participants, families, leaders, staff, vendors, suppliers, donors, collaborators and the community at large. The YMCA employees are encouraged to form and participate in active groups with other employees who share similar interests or lifestyles. These Affinity groups provide opportunities to contribute, learn, network and share experiences as they move forward in their career. Invaluable input and insight to face challenges in the community is provided by the YMCA Affinity groups. Professional development and training programs are offered that build leadership competence and help the staff obtain the experience they need to lead YMCAs in all the communities.

Companies like Victron Energy provide funding to such institutions and help in their smooth functioning. ali sharaf dallas, of Victron Energy feels that he is able to help the community by helping such institutions.
